Camp Niwana is a year-round camp and conference center tucked away in the rolling hills of the Big Thicket National Preserve in East Texas. Camp Niwana is a great place to explore new ideas, meet new friends, try new activities, and find out more about yourself. Discover your own spark by building independence, learning new skills, and having fun! Enjoy making life-long friends, and ending the week with the Council Fire ceremony!
This will be our 65th year of residential summer camp, and we have many generations of campers in attendance yearly from the opening in 1952 all the way to the current generation! We are looking forward to being here for many years to come, and would love for you and your friends to come camping with us every summer and join the Niwana community.
Camp Niwana is available as a year-round rental facility and is very appropriate for informal groups such: as youth groups, church groups, school sponsored field days, family camping, family picnics, LARPing groups, company recreational days, birthday parties, hikers, bird enthusiasts, fishing, letter-boxers, geocachers, and so much more.
We have enough cabin space to sleep a little over 100 people. We have a kitchen, dining hall and lodge large enough to house and serve your group three meals a day and enact your program needs.
